Eco-friendly literally means earth-friendly or not harmful to the environment. This term most commonly refers to products that contribute to green living or practices that help conserve resources like water and energy. Eco-friendly products also prevent contributions to air, water and land pollution. You can engage in eco-friendly habits or practices by being more conscious of how you use resources.

We believe that protecting the environment is not merely about having a green mindset, but it also requires real commitment and actions. In addition to our wastewater treatment and waste disposal facilities, we have also implemented the principles of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle at each stage along the production process.

Constant monitoring and inspection are conducted on a regular basis by our internal and local audit staff. In addition, we also continue to equip and upgrade our wastewater treatment laboratory. We are very concerned about environmental sustainability and the continuance of the ecosystem.

Water Waste Treatment Facility

PT Pelangi Elasindo has a wastewater treatment facility that includes coagulation, flocculation and biological treatment to ensure that our standard of discharged water meets the local standards. By using complete in-house wastewater testing equipment, the company is able to monitor and to ensure that the wastewater treatment facility runs at its optimum level. These processes ensure discharged water meets local standards.

We also re-use discharged water back into production. In addition to reusing treated wastewater, the company also recovers heat through heat exchangers, and also re-use boiler’s condensate. Our wastewater treatment achieved a green rating certificate.

Every batch that we produce is always tested before delivery. Since 2013 , We also have implemented a Quality Assurance Program system audited annually by Leading International Audit Firm.

Recycled Products

For shoelace and webbing, we also use recycled yarn in most of our products, and audited regularly by third parties every year to make sure we can sell the recycled products.
